The modelling areas are based on broad catchment areas. The boundaries should not be used at a scale smaller than 1:50,000.
These areas are those currently used in stream modelling studies at Waikato Regional Council.
These broad catchment areas were originally based upon the areas defined by GIS_ALL.RACS_FILING_ZONE. Since inception the two datasets have changed in some areas (notably northern Hauraki and area names).
