| Abstract: |
This data represents the grazing licence scheme data where Waikato Regional Council (WRC) owned and Managed (owned by the crown) land is licensed out to Farmers to graze their stock on. These areas are mostly stopbanks used in the flood protection schemes. |

| Statement: |
Contains grazing Licence areas, within the Waikato Region. The grazing licences are related by scheme which is usually within a catchment area. The other feature classes show Disposed Licence, Fences, Gates, Crossings, Weed and Works locations associated with the Grazing Licence areas.
The Licence area data was initially captured at a nominal scale of 1:5000, using the digital orthophotos which have 1 metre pixels and a horizontal accuracy of +/- 3.0 metres at 90% confidence. The second feature detailing Fences, gates, crossings etc was captured using ArcPad and a Trimble Pathfinder XC receiver GPS card. Data from this device was post processed using Trimble GPS Pathfinder Office. Data typically achieved approximately 5m accuracy using this process. Some licence area data has then been corrected to match fence GPS data where appropriate.
Nodes and spatial accuracy Quality Assured with validate connectivity tool in Geomedia Pro. Attribute accuracy is maintained by Property Services and is ongoing.
Data set was captured in house by WRC and is constantly being maintained and altered. Licence areas are often being amalgamated so there are often changes to attributes and geometry. Data form is electronic. Geometries are linked by a view in Oracle to Conquest Asset data. Digital data output to hardcopy in addition with legal documents of renewal of licence. |
