Data Acquisition
The aerial photography for this project was captured within the 2020/21, 2021/22, and 2022/23 and
2023/24 flying seasons.
Camera and Flying Height
All photography was captured using Vexcel's digital camera systems:
UCE Mark1 camera fitted with the 100 mm lens and flown at an altitude of approximately 18,928 ft
(5,769 m) with the lowest ground GSD set at 0.30 m
UCE Mark3 camera fitted with the 100 mm lens and flown at an altitude of approximately 18,045 ft
(5,500 m) with the lowest ground GSD set at 0.25 m
The cameras were fitted to a GSM 3000 gyro-stabilised mount and IGI AEROcontrol GNSS/IMU
positioning system.
Capture Dates
The aerial imagery was captured on the following dates:
25 January 2021, 31 January 2021, 24 March 2021, 2 May 2021, 24 December 2021, 3 January 2022,
15 February 2022, 2-3 March 2022, 16-17 March 2022, 28 December 2022, 17-18 February 2023, 2 March
2023, 23-24 March 2023, 29-30 March 2023, 12 May 2023, 16 March 2024, 19 March 2024, 20 March
2024.
Sun Angle
Imagery captured with a minimum sun angle of +30 degrees. The sun angle of the imagery used for the
orthorectification ranged from 26.6 to 74.0 degrees.
Flight Planning
The flight survey number for this project is SN14145
The flight plan is named ‘WRAPS Rural 30cm UCE V2’ and comprises 108 runs, 8,377 frames. All imagery
captured in stereo: forward overlap 60%, min 54%; side overlap 35%, min 15%

In a webmap, add data from URL. Paste above url into text box. The service type should automatically detect the type as WMTS (OGC). You can choose to use the imagery as a basemap or as an operational layer overlying the NZTM basemap. Click NEXT. Then choose the WRAPS_2021 Layer To Add.
In ArcGIS Pro there are several methods:
1) In the Catalog pane, navigate to this path and add the layer file to your map. S:\Corporate_Data\TEMPLATES\ARCGIS\LAYER_FILES\GIS_PHOTOS\WRAPS_2021_2024_basemap_image_service.lyrx
2) Within the Catalog pane, under the Portal tab, select ArcGIS Online and search for WRAPS_2021. You should find a hosted Tile Layer of that name to add to your map.
