Opoutere SIBA (Significant Indigenous Biodiversity Areas)were supplied by Kessels and Associates Ecologists, who supplied this data as a result of an Environment Court Hearing. The Opoutere SIBA (Significant Indigenous Biodiversity Area) was created from an ecological assessment by Gerry Kessels (ecologist, as a result of RPS and Environment Court hearings for Opoutere beach and harbour. As a result the SIBA data was amended to include the Opoutere Beach and harbour as an additional area to be included in the RPS document. Although the SIBA dataset boundaries are closely related to TCDC SNA dataset the attribute information in the SIBA dataset needs to be updated to match the SNA dataset correctly. This data should be used with that limitation in mind. |
