| Statement: |
Every year Waikato Regional Council carries out targeted spray operations to control invasive pest plants growing in our rivers, lakes and wetlands. Resource Consent 124871 allows for the use of specific herbicides to be applied over water for control of plants declared as pests in the Waikato Regional Pest Management Plan 2014-2024. Operational areas are reviewed annually. They are generally the same each year, but new areas may be added, and areas not receiving control are removed. |
