Ministry for Primary Industries contracted Aerial Surveys Ltd to supply this data in 2024.
Original imagery was captured on the following dates:
18 August 1992, 24 August 1992, 8 May 1993, 30 August 1993, 15 August 1995
Aerial Surveys scanned the film negatives with a Leica DSW700 high precision aerial film photogrammetric scanner. Output TIFF files are 8-bit greyscale (0-255). Orthorectification was completed against a DTM derived of LiDAR DEM datasets and LRIS 25m DEM data. The ortho accuracy of Pt1 met the expected accuracy of 3m @ 95% confidence level in flat open areas.
Data is provided in terms of New Zealand Transverse Mercator 2000 map projection (NZTM2000). The ellipsoidal datum is New Zealand Geodetic Datum 2000 (NZGD2000). For this project the orthometric vertical datum is New Zealand Vertical Datum 2016 (NZVD2016). |
